Batman and Catwoman have an interesting relationship with “Cat lairs” in the tales, particularly since the events of Napoleon’s Plan. One of the absolute favorite episodes among Bruce\/Selina fans is Vault<\/a>, when Selina is returned after a lengthy adventure in Zurich. Bruce has done his usual disappearing act when she’s been away, so she is expecting to see Batman first. Tonight. At the lair… <\/p>\n

Batman approached the cat lair as he had many times before. He removed a glove and placed the pad of his index finger on the reader, waited three seconds, and then slipped the Bat-pick into the lock. Forty seconds later, he was heading through an entrance hall just narrow enough to subject an intruder to a nasty spray of knockout gas or a paralyzing jolt of electricity if this were the kind of hideout that employed such traps, and finally reaching the main\u2026<\/p>\n

He stopped, subconscious tactical analysis of the physical space suspended and his body stunned into immobility by a much different kind of electricity as the sight registered:<\/p>\n

Catwoman\u2026 stretched out on her side, on a leopard print throw\u2026 toying with a lethal looking dagger, rubbing the sharp tip of the blade against the sharper edge of her claw\u2026 Her tongue creeping out between her lips and licking the corner of her mouth\u2026 while she fixed him with a low, ravenous glare, like the predator she was eying prey\u2026<\/p>\n

\u201cDangerous toy you\u2019ve got there,\u201d he observed dryly.<\/p>\n

She laid it aside brusquely and stood, an almost hypnotic rhythm in the sway of her hips as she approached with that unmistakably feline gait. Usually the movement was deliberately seductive\u2026 tonight, it was hungry.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is,\u201d she said, a voice of hot, liquid want pouring over the words. \u201cDangerous\u2026 but I can handle it\u2026 I\u2019m the only one who can.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

2014 will mark the world premiere of \u201cFathers of the Dark Knight\u201d an ambitious theatrical production about both the fictional heroes and villains of Gotham and the real-life men who created them. The play – which will fittingly open in New York City, the inspiration for Gotham \u2013 seeks to correct the failure of history to recognize the contributions two men, writer Bill Finger and artist Jerry Robinson, made to the world of Bob Kane\u2019s Batman. The audience will get to watch the creative process of Kane, Finger and Robinson brought to life in two different ways: On one side of the stage, we see the three men in Kane\u2019s apartment, gradually bringing Gotham and its colorful cast of characters into being. On the other side, those very characters will fight the never-ending battle of good versus evil, as Batman takes on villains such as Joker, Riddler and Catwoman with the help of heroes like Batgirl and Robin.
“Fathers of the Dark Knight<\/a>” is a not-for-profit stage production documented on their website, including cast appearances at New York Comic Con. <\/p>\n
